I hate ankle boots. I hate tight pants. I really hate the whole 80's revival thing going on in fashion.

And I fell in love. The folks pictured on that blog don't look like anyone else, and sometimes you see something you hate in a new way. It doesn't hurt that the woman is a Parisian, either. Some other boots I don't hate:
